Travel Medicine Leadership Symposium in Lexington, KY – April 12-13, 2019
The UK EM Division of Global Health is hosting a travel medicine CME course April 12,13 2019 in Lexington KY. The Travel Medicine Leadership Symposium is a conference on high yield travel medicine topics for medical professionals who travel internationally, travel with groups as a medical provider, or lead medical trips.
Topics include pre-travel, risks of travel, in flight emergencies, licensing, pharmacy, security, tropical medicine, ultrasound, food and water safety, arthropod protection, tropical dermatology, malpractice, among others. Faculty from the University of Kentucky as well as faculty from other academic institutions who regularly travel and practice medicine internationally will share their experience and expertise. This course will be valuable for any practitioner who travels internationally and will be an opportunity for networking with like-minded providers.
